This past weekend, the Ozarks Chapter was represented at a joint Region IX and Region X ASHRAE Chapters Regional Conference in San Francisco, California. Chapter President Ryan Jones and President-Elect Chris Ruth attended on behalf of the chapter. For those new to ASHRAE, a CRC is each region’s annual working meeting where leaders handle society business, receive leadership and committee training, share best practices, and recognize chapter achievements. It is part operations summit, part leadership workshop, and part awards program, all designed to set chapters up for a strong year.

Throughout the conference, Jones and Ruth connected with peers from both regions, compared successful programs, and gathered practical ideas to bring back to the Ozarks Chapter. They plan to share key takeaways at the September chapter meeting, including new approaches to member engagement, programming, and support for students and YEA members.

The Ozarks Chapter also earned recognition, bringing home the YEA Event of the Year award for its Pickleball Tournament, topping entries from 13 other chapters in the region. The chapter extends thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success. To stay updated on the September meeting and upcoming events, please visit the chapter website.
