Happy New Year, Ozarks Chapter. The first half of the 2025 to 2026 Society Year, July through December, was a great run for our chapter, and a strong start to what is shaping up to be an even better year ahead.
One highlight was our Chapter representation at the ASHRAE Chapters Regional Conference in San Francisco, a joint CRC with Region X. President Ryan Jones and President Elect Chris Ruth attended on behalf of the Ozarks Chapter, brought back ideas and best practices to share locally, and we were proud to bring home the YEA Event of the Year award for our Pickleball Tournament.

We also had a meaningful presence at the Salute to Design and Construction Awards, where the chapter recently joined the Salute Council community and celebrated the impact of our local building industry partners. During the event, ASHRAE awarded a scholarship to the Discovery Center School, presented to Tyler Moles, to support a student in need of financial assistance. It was a reminder that our work is ultimately about people, and about creating places where students can learn, thrive, and feel supported.

Thank you to everyone who made these months successful, our members, attendees, sponsors, and volunteers, and a special thank you to our speakers for bringing valuable education to the chapter. Chris Ruth, David Bledsoe, Ron Will, and Cliff Holcomb delivered programs that covered everything from practical controls and system strategy to pump control methods and ASHRAE 90.1 considerations, humidification fundamentals, and the evolving A2L VRF landscape under ASHRAE 15 updates.
